Cohesive Bandage

A cohesive bandage, also known as a self-adhesive or self-stick bandage, is a flexible, elastic bandage that adheres to itself without sticking to skin, hair, or clothing. Typically made from a blend of materials like cotton, polyester, and latex or latex-free alternatives, it is designed to provide compression, support, and stabilization for injuries such as sprains, strains, or swelling. 

The bandage’s cohesive property comes from a special coating that allows it to bond when wrapped over itself, eliminating the need for clips, pins, or tape. It is widely used in sports medicine, first aid, and post-surgical care due to its ease of application, adjustability, and ability to stay in place during movement. Cohesive bandages are breathable, lightweight, and can be torn by hand, making them convenient for quick use, though they are single-use and not reusable.
