Transport Medium Swabs

Our transport medium swabs are developed for reliable specimen collection, preservation, and transport in medical and diagnostic settings. Each set includes a sterile rayon or flocked fiber swab paired with a sealed, leak-resistant tube containing 1–3 mL of Amies (with or without charcoal) or Stuart transport medium. This design supports the viability of both aerobic and anaerobic microorganisms for up to 48–72 hours at room temperature, making it suitable for various testing needs.

The swab features a soft, non-irritating tip to support comfortable sample collection, while the breakable plastic shaft (100–150 mm in length) allows for easy placement into the tube after use. The transport medium plays an important role in maintaining microorganism integrity during transit, helping reduce the risk of contamination and sample degradation.
